Supreme Acoustic Systems was founded in the summer of 2024 with a simple but powerful idea: the high-end audio industry could be better served—if it was willing to evolve.
Founder and CEO Hiram Toro had stepped away from the day-to-day demands of business and was happily retired, but far from disengaged. With decades of experience building companies from the ground up, he felt a familiar pull to create again. The question wasn’t whether to return—it was how. The answer came naturally, through his lifelong strengths: a deep passion for audio and a proven ability to build businesses that work.
Supreme Acoustic Systems started with two core tenets: distribution and service to their community— often overlooked but critical parts of the audio ecosystem. These are where Toro’s expertise lives, and where the industry needed help. From the beginning, SAS set out to rethink how distribution could better support manufacturers, retailers, and, ultimately, the listening community.
That vision led SAS to become the first American distributor to represent a major American loudspeaker manufacturer, challenging a long-standing and illogical industry assumption—that U.S. manufacturers shouldn’t use U.S. distributors. A good distributor is a good distributor, regardless of geography. YG Acoustics became the first American brand represented by Supreme Acoustic Systems, setting the tone for what was to come.
From there, SAS expanded thoughtfully, adding a curated selection of brands while staying true to its core mission: building sustainable, well-supported pathways between great audio products and the people who value them.
Vertical growth was always part of the plan. Distribution was always the foundation of SA, but retail, brand incubation, and market creation were the next steps. Supreme Acoustic Systems began introducing new brands to the United States, many from outside the country, where no existing market or infrastructure existed. Rather than waiting for demand, SAS chose to create opportunity—leading the charge where none existed before.
This vision took physical form in Las Vegas, a city with no retail destination dedicated to this level of discovery and innovation in high-end audio. The philosophy was simple - to quote “Field of Dreams,” if you build it, they will come.
Nimbleness remains central to everything SAS does. The audio industry is known for its traditions—and while those traditions have carried it far, they’ve also defined its limits. Supreme Acoustic Systems respects what came before, but isn’t bound by it. Progress requires curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to question the status quo while coloring outside the lines.
As Supreme Acoustic Systems reaches its first anniversary, the mission remains unchanged: to better serve the audio community, to keep searching for smarter solutions, and to expand its role within the industry. With the opening of the Supreme Auditorium, a physical showroom space occupying 3,000 square feet in Las Vegas, growth isn’t just a milestone—it’s part of their DNA.
The search doesn’t end here. It’s just getting started.
